The Dorset Law Society’s response to the SRA’s Consultation on the Budget and Business Plan 2025-26

Dorset Law Society gave its response to the SRA’s Consultation on its Budget and Business Plan 2025-26.  The SRA proposes to spend a great deal more investigation and enforcement from £46,220,000 to £61,220,000.  A 32% increase year on year.  Is this an appropriate allocation of resources?  Client Protection sees an increase of 15% from £17,500,000 to £20,080,000. The view of the response is that more should be spent on pro-active Client Protection.  This would mitigate the risks of another Axiom-Ince. You can read the Society’s response below.
